On New Year’s Day I decided to convert Chesapeake Style to an online only publication. As many of you are aware, I expected that someone would step up the plate to become a partner, or  would buy out Chesapeake Style, or that we would attract investors to our quality publication. 

      That has not happened, so the time has come for us to move in a different direction, more in keeping with the times. To that end, Chesapeake Style will be published online only. My plan is to take over management of the website, in time.

      I expect to have more photos, graphics and artwork to include with articles. We have begun to develop web pages for individuals, advertisers and businesses for a nominal annual cost. We continue to offer Focus on Business articles for those advertisers who want to participate with banner ads, ads in the shopping mall or those with web pages. We continue the Celebrating the Past, Present and Future, Tidewater & Timber, Spike’s Wildlife Almanac, Animal Antics, HealthSense, Recipe Box, Literary Corner and other regular features which appear in Chesapeake Style.

      Articles for the upcoming month are emailed to me by the third Wednesday and are placed on the website by the last week of the month. Calendar items are placed on the site at other random times as they come in.
Our website continues to grow and we have more and more visitors daily. Recipes continue to be the most popular item. Folks check out all of the subjects and articles, as well as visit the online calendar and classified section. This is the wave of the future.
