There is no explanation. There are no reasons why.
Only the sad reality for the ones at Va. Tech who died
Some may choose to be mad and point a finger to blame
But that won’t bring them back from an act that was insane.
Sing on Va. Tech. We are with you all the way
Sing on Va. Tech. United we know you’ll stay
Even though this tune may have turned out completely wrong
Sing on Va. Tech. Produce a brand new song.
It is hard to even think about what happened on this day
It hurt the heart to watch what all the students had to say
Tragic, painful, and surreal and all thoughts soon turn to grief
To think that this could happen is far beyond rational belief.
Impressive are our youth there. More proud we could not be
Mature beyond their years. By word and action it was plain to see
May you heal and grow and sort it out. It’s clear you love your school
Don’t quit on life or your education because of the actions of a fool.
No one can live in fear; for that is no life at all.
Mountains we all must climb; from cliffs we sometimes fall
Make the most of every day. Persevere and carry on
To write another chapter; to sing another song.
Sing on Va. Tech. Be brave and pass this test.

Tragedy is part of life and we pray time will heal the wounds

Having lived most of my life in Va., this tragedy has affected me in a personal way. I have visited their beautiful campus and I attended a neighboring college only about an hour and a half away.
