Be Still And Know I’m God
By Maida Hudgins
“I don’t have time, I just can’t wait,
 There’re so many things to do.”
 This sounds like me so often –
 Now does it apply to you?

Hurry, hurry, minutes flying,
Times goes quickly by.
 Haven’t you asked yourself this question,
 “What is it for and why?”

Let’s stop and consider the reasons
We keep up this worldly pace.
“Oh no,” you say, “I’m a Christian,
I rush for the human race.”

But is this true and don’t you find
The daily routine of living
Takes your time in necessary things,
And you really aren’t Christian giving?

Are there times through the day you take for Him
To find what He wants you to do?
And thank Him for all His blessings;
It’s His grace that sees us through.

Be careful, Christian, and watch each day
The path of life you trod.
Forget the rush, remember He says,
“Be still and know I’m God.”

We’re the salt of the earth and a light for the world.
Through you, one can see God’s care.
So seek Him first in all you do;
He will answer every prayer.
