American Bean Soup
Submitted By Susan Christopher
1 cup red beans - Indians,
1 cup white beans - Europeans,
One cup black beans - Africans,
1 chopped onion, green pepper, red pepper,
2 tbls chopped garlic (from jar),
2 sliced carrots,
2 stalks celery sliced,
salt & pepper.
Soak beans, drain, add 2 qts water, cook and add other vegetables before beans are done. This is just a plain bean soup, but can be spiced up with hot peppers. Sometimes I add 2 jalapeno peppers.
