Brown Bag Apple Pie

(Pretty and good — my guys used to wait in the kitchen for the pie to be done. A family favorite for decades )
2 1/2 pounds cooking apples 
2 teaspoons lemon juice 
1/2 cup sugar 
2 tablespoons unsifted all purpose flour 
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 
dash of nutmeg
Mix in a large bowl pour into a pie crust either homemade or frozen. 
Topping mix the following and spread over the apple mixture 
1/2 cup flour 
1 stick butter 
1/4 cup sugar 
1/4 cup light brown sugar 
Directions :
Bake in a brown paper bag at 400 degrees secure the ends of the bag I use paper clips. 1 hour 10 minutes if a metal dish is used or1 hour 20 minutes if a glass dish is used
