Sausage Apple Pie
Submitted by Cassandra Burton
Really good and very easy
1 pound sausage links
2 pie crusts frozen or make your own
1 can apple pie filling
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
Directions :
Cook the sausage till done and drain on a paper towel.
Pie shell: prick holes in one pie shell and bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Spoon apple pie filling into partially cooked pie shell.

Arrange sausages on top of the apples in a spoke fashion. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Take the other pie shell, break it up and mix it with the brown sugar. Make crumbs and sprinkle over the top of the pie

Return the pie to the oven and bake for 25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

Have made this a day ahead and reheated in the microwave .
