HOW TO MAKE TWO QUICK YUMMY DESSERTS
By Florence Jenkins Muse

First is my Apple Crisp. Simply peel and slice apples in a rectangle medium Pyrex® dish (about half full). Mix one cup flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon. baking powder (try to use Hearth Club®. You can get it across from Oldhams Post Office in Northern Neck) and one egg with a fork making a crumb mix. Sprinkle it over apples. Melt 1/2 stick of margarine and dribble over mix. Bake 350 for 30 minutes. and WOW. Serve with ice cream or Cool Whip®. Now you already know that every good cook preheats over. Right?

Second is my magic cobbler recipe. Melt 1/2 stick of margarine in a Pyrex® dish. Mix one cup flour, one cup sugar, 1 teaspoon. baking powder, and one cup of milk into a batter. Pour over melted margarine. Spoon one large can of cherry pie mix (or any kind your heart desires) over batter. Bake 350 for 30 minutes and WOW. Please serve warm with ice cream or Cool Whip®.

Imagine that you are cooking a chicken, or a ham, and perhaps a potato while you're making dessert and you'll discover that good meals do not have to mean a lot of work.
