How to use the “Magic Formula”
By Florence Jenkins Muse

Since I can remember, we have always had a problem with small ants coming in the back porch and kitchen during the warm months. Ant traps were of no use. I finally discovered cinnamon, which worked wonders for several years. Then I resorted to the brown ant granules that you put outside around the house to keep them out. This, also, worked wonders and I still use it, however, the ants must like it by now and started being a big problem again last summer. My god-daughter, Judi, told me about the chalk line and I found it to be a big help for awhile. But, the ants were still a problem.

Last summer when the ants had begun coming in my bedroom window which is next to the back porch, I really had an emergency. Who wants ants in their bed?

One day a friend told me about the “Magic Formula”. This is a Windex® bottle with one-half Clorox® and one-half water. I simply sprayed it in the windowsills and WOW, no more ants.

In the fall, I was wondering about how much hard work my lawn man and I were going to have getting all the algae and mildew off the white fence bordering my property where I have all my flower beds located. It was going to be a big job, until my friend told me all I had to do was spray it with the “Magic Formula” and I would not even have to hose it down. Well, folks, I painted that fence ten years ago and after spraying it with the formula, it looked like new paint. I use the formula for my lawn furniture, which used to seem impossible, and am excited about all the uses I will find in the future. You know, we can all help each other with good ideas. ©
